Established wrinkles

What do you notice ?

A crease on the forehead here, two vertical lines between the eyebrows there, a few crow's feet at the outer corner of the eye or marked lines on the lower part of the face... it can't be denied that one or more clearly visible wrinkles have taken hold and are outlining a new portrait of your face. Sometimes deep wrinkles that highlight your positive as well as negative expressions and that now deserve all of your attention and diligence!

Did you know ?

Have your fill of happiness

After the first wrinkles appear, biological ageing will cause gradually them to look accentuated, the best known being: glabellar line, nasolabial folds, lines around the mouth, etc. Significant hormonal changes such as the menopause play a major role in skin ageing: loss of density, fullness and radiance and the appearance of deep wrinkles. Lipid synthesis decreases. The hydrolipid film becomes less effective. To smooth the look of wrinkles, you must choose anti-ageing skincare. For others, recourse to aesthetic medicine and/or surgery  will ensure more dramatic and lasting visible results.

What you should do

Give yourself every advantage by combining anti-wrinkle serum, day care, night care and eye contour care in your beauty routine.

When it comes to make-up, choose a lifting and illuminating foundation or a skincare BB cream, a rosy or apricot blush for a healthy looking glow, and a softer brown or navy mascara.

Include foods rich in omegas 3 and 6 in your diet, along with nutritional supplements dedicated to mature skin.

What you should avoid

  • Forget cigarettes: pursing your lips around them may encourage wrinkles to form.
  • The sun and UV rays with sun protection as a matter of course during the day.

"I have very sensitive reactive skin - but want something for my deep crows feet and lip lines is this product gentle and suitable for 41 year old peri menopausal lady?"

Gemma 43 years

I would start by having a look at Vichy's Neovadiol range as they are specifically formulated for your concern. Within this range, you may wish to look into the Neovadial Compensating Complex Concentrate. You also may wish to look into Vichy's LiftActiv range, and in particular the advaced filler to help you further with your skin concerns. As these products are formulated to help with sensitive skin; you should be fine. Please do let me know if you have any further questions or queries.

"Can the Skinceuticals Resveratrol B E be used with together with the Retinol 1%?"

Laura 42 years

This should be fine, yes as these two products should complement each other - Just make sure you follow the application advice carefully with these two products; especially the Retinol 1% as it is important that you only apply this at night and follow this by using an SPF cream during the day. Please do let me know if you have any further questions or queries and I’ll be happy to help you further.

"Do Skinceuticals products have an expiry date? I couldn't find it on the package and therefore concerned if the product is genuine. "

Elena 33 years

All of our products have a three year shelf life if stored correctly: in a cool and dry place away from the sunlight. However, if you refer to the back of the product, you will see a jar symbol with the number of months this product must be used by when opened inside; which will indicate its expiry date once opened. Please do let me know if you have any further questions or queries and I’ll be happy to help.

"Is C E Ferulic suitable to be used around the eye area? It feels quite sticky on the eyelids and I'm wondering if that is to be expected. "

Elena 33 years

Unfortunately, the CE Ferulic isn’t specifically formulated to be used around the eye contours. As an alternative, I would have a look at the AOX+ Eye Gel which will share similar qualities to the CE Ferulic and has been specifically designed to be used on the eye contour. I hope this helps!
