First wrinkles

What do you notice ?

Barely visible until now, you are starting to observe the appearance of some lines in specific areas of the face. At around 30, they may start to appear on the forehead, between the eyebrows and at the corners of the eyes. Known as frown lines or crow's feet, you have undoubtedly already heard about them. You find them in the areas of the face that move the most. Grinning in front of your mirror, you identify the location of the most used muscles in connection with these superficial wrinkles. Therefore, these areas are more intensely marked earlier.

Pre-empt the process!

The first fine lines and wrinkles mark the beginnings the visible signs of ageing. Your skin is telling you it is time to adjust your lifestyle and your cosmetic routine to reduce the appearance of the signs of ageing. Depending on your skin type, ethnicity and lifestyle, fine lines and first signs of wrinkles may not appear at the same age or in the same way. The visible signs of ageing result from some of the ageing processes taking place whithin the skin, for example: cell renewal is slowed down, the synthesis of collagen and elastin fibres decreases.

What you should do

Thoroughly cleanse your skin and remove your make-up. A daily routine is absolutely essential for preserving your skin's youthful appearance.

You may want to apply a anti-ageing serum before applying your anti-ageing cream both morning and night.

Hydrate your skin effectively by applying a moisturiser both morning and night.

Use different anti-ageing creams for day and night. Use a cream that provides SPF protection during the day and one that promotes surface skin cell renewal at night.

What you should avoid

  • Keep sun exposure to a minimum and protect your skin year-round from UV rays, even on cloudy days.
  • Remember to apply anti-ageing care products to your neck and top of the chest area, which are also very prone to showing signs of ageing.

"Should the AOX Eye Gel be used alone or in conjunction with an eye cream? Should the eye cream go over or under the AOX Eye Gel? "

Laura 42 years

From the information I have available it is advised to use an eye cream with the AOX gel. The AOX gel should be applied first before an eye cream.

"Hello, I am 32 and I have no wrinkles yet. I don't use any anti-aging products other than spf moisturizers . Is is too early to start on Redermic ? "

T 32 years

Hi there, thank you for getting in touch. You may wish to consider the Redermic range; and in particular, the Redermic [R] to help act as a prevention. Alternatively, you could have a look at Vichy’s Idealia range, which is specifically formulated to help boost your skins radiance and help with the very first signs of ageing. I hope this helps and please do let me know how you get on!
